This game came out and was a serious hit on the PS3 back in the early years of the console. I beat it then went on to beat Dark Souls. We are now getting closer to Dark Souls 2 so I figured it was time to revisit my old games and get a 2nd run in.
The game is unforgiving and difficult as these games you die…..over and over perfecting your abilities and honing your character. In this first Souls game, the combat is very difficult and unforgiving but the game has a charm to it that keeps you at it. It is dark and spooky and the level design always felt superb. Boss fights are a matter of learning the boss’s weakness through trial and error just like all the Dark Souls game to follow but for some reason, Demon’s Souls still was my favorite of the series. Maybe because it was the first but I always seem to go back to it after all these years.
The high level in the game is 999 and do not ask me how many years people play this to reach that. I am all for a challenge but that is beyond me. I am happily going through my n+ game now and almost complete. Just a damn fine RPG with a combat system I really enjoy.
The news of the servers going down is sad but expected.
