Xcom 2 takes place after the events in Enemy Unknown. The world has been taken over by Alien Forces who the people think are there to help them. The truth comes out and it is your mission as part of the rebellion to let the world know the truth you have found. It takes time to get contacts across the globe to gain resources to fight the Avent forces but it is a game really does a great job of making this fun. You develop your team, you research powerful new weapons and armor and train this elite squadron to overpower the oppressors. The gameplay is turn-based and beautiful. The ai is smart and the enemy can be very challenging. You can customize your team, name each soldier and that makes them really mean something to you. No one likes to lose a teammate who is a brother or best friend !!! The first run-through I did not beat them and they earned that win. The second time through I really enjoyed the game even more and completed it. I do not own the DLC for the game as I just played the vanilla version. I will wait on a sale to pick up more of this great game!
The game I played on pc and on ultra settings. It took roughly 50 hours on two playthroughs with the second being longer. It is also free on psn for June !!!!
I would score the game a 9-10 out of 10 as I really have nothing negative to say about it. It is one of the best strategy games I have played.
Gamer for 40 plus years starting with Pong, consoles and pc gaming. It has been a hobby I have enjoyed over the years for my stress relief and continues to be fun even at my older age. This site is for a lite impression of games I enjoy.
