The next generation of consoles is coming up in the next year or so and the excitement ramps up as we try and figure out what the next edition will have included. The previous generation Sony made some smart moves focusing on games and a machine that has been a powerhouse of convenience and has become almost the best selling console to date. By the end of the generation, it might surpass the PS2 milestone.
We know it will have more power, better graphics, and faster load times. Here is what I would like to see as well:
- A 2 terabyte SSD would be the proper starting point. The last generation we all had to upgrade our hard drives almost immediately as they came too small.
- Liquid cooling this time to cut the noise as the PlayStation 4 could be obnoxiously loud when it became warm. Mine, at times, sounded like a vacuum cleaner.
- Add Vue or PlayStation Now to PlayStation Plus for a nominal increase in price. PlayStation Plus had lost legacy-free games and now I feel they need to add more to Plus to keep it on par with Xbox Live. I want more value for the money I am spending on Plus.
