Far Cry 6

I have played and tinkered with all the Far Cry games over the years. Some I just dabbled in and moved on and others I have completed. This newest game I have nearly done everything in it and I really loved this game! It is beautiful, huge, has great characters and Giancarlo Esposito is one of my favorite actors as I hold Breaking Bad as one of my favorite tv shows, mostly based on the great acting involved.

You play as Dani Rojas and can choose a female or male version. The story is nothing new overall, a dictator, Anton Castillo is promising the “dream” while prepping his son and feeding the promise of a paradise while totally controlling the people and resources. The Island of Yara is similar to Cuba and the map is huge and there is a lot of game here to enjoy. It excels in explosions and chaos and there are all kinds of vehicles, cars, trucks, jeeps, boats, helicopters, planes, and tanks to fight and to hop into and enjoy.

You have many different guns and an ultimate backpack that you can do some major damage with. It comes in varying styles and powers and is really a fun new addition to the Far Cry universe.

There are many different regions, secrets, military installations, animals and you travel over mountains, into caves, and solve some puzzles along the way. The graphics in the game are top-notch. On PC it has up to 4k and it is a stunning game even on my aging rig.

There is a co-op in the game and the only difference is there is no pause when in that mode. I played some with my brother and this game is exceptional in that mode.

Also in the game, you get some cool animal companions and some quests related to them. I did find some of the quests hilarious and had me laughing! Those quests are awesome and the reward is the companion on completion. There is fishing and hunting in the game and camps to build up as well. There is a lot to the game and it is best to just chip away at it and enjoy it over a long period of time. I found an hour a day before work a great way to enjoy the game but it did take me a long time to get to where I am, which now is around 70 hours and I am at 80 percent roughly completed. But I do intend on completing this one and the DLC with all the previous bosses looks like a must-buy.

All in all, it is more Far Cry but it is the cream of the crop and if it is your kind of fun do not miss out on it. I have played a lot of games this past year but this one I had the most fun with! Also I thought it was really a cool idea to have Ubisoft email you as you made progress through the game:
