Elden Ring SHADOW of the ERDTREE- DLC

Two years after the award-winning Elden Ring game, Fromsoft launched a huge DLC that is almost the content of another game. So much to discover, and explore and a lot more verticality now. You get a hint of a new area and half the fun is finding out how to get there.

The game adds items to buff your character’s offense and def and depending on how many you collect it gives you a way to adjust the challenge. The game is obviously super damn hard but manageable with these collectibles and there are new powers, weapons, and ashs of war to add to the equipment to help you get through those bosses and baddies that are relentless and want you dead.

These Fire Golem monstrosities are humongous and give great rewards when killed. Although, that task is not an easy one to complete.

The effects and beauty of this game really add to the gameplay and enjoyment. It runs really well on my middle road pc and only a few minor studders and a couple crashes. With so much going on, I have no real complaints. I know the PS5 version is more stable but the pc version is fine for me. (More about storage , with limited space on my PS5.)

I started a new character to just relearn the game, after a year away from it, and ended up sticking to the dual-wielding blood build as it is just so fun. My mage was my main through the base game and ended at level 162. This new build is now level 206 and I am still prepping for a few more bosses and of course, the end boss coming up.

The bosses are extremely creepy, ugly, and beautiful at the same time. I simply love the design, feel, and challenge when you find a new boss and have to learn how to beat it down. You always start with the same feeling of being dominated until you slowly peck away and learn what works. Once defeated, there is such a rush to win and I think that gratification is what makes these games so special. We expect to die but I always with the feeling it was a learning experience and keeps me going back in the fight. I do not know how they keep us from being frustrated but they mastered a system few seem to get right. It simply never feels cheap.

Here is the kitchen sink coming at you!!! Hope you are prepared!!

Here is the bastard himself and I hope to show you his skull soon!
