Final Fantasy 7 was a pivotal game in 1997. It sold Playstations, and with 3D graphics and CD audio, gamers realized the Playstation’s power. It sold millions of copies on PC and PS1 and brought new technology to gaming. The remakes are done with care and much love. Updated graphics, sound, and story are more fleshed out, and will take 3 games to complete the FF7 experience.
Cloud, Barrett, Tifa, and Areith are fighting the good fight. You spend Remake in Midgar. You fight for AVALANCHE, a group trying to keep the Corporation of Shinra from draining the planet’s lifestream. You also confront Sephiroth. He is looking for power and will destroy everything if not stopped.
The game uses the 3-person party system. You control one at a time and can change whenever you want. The world is beautiful and the character models are superb. There is plenty to do and see and the battle system is super fun. If you are a RPG fan you will enjoy this revisit to one of the greatest games made.
The game is not crazy big, roughly 40 hours more or less. Plenty to upgrade, augment, and improvements to make your team powerful. It runs great on PS5 and is now also on PC with improved resolutions and framerates.
Intergrade adds 10 hours of story adding Yuffie. She is a young ninja and I enjoyed her romp.
I love this game and we have 2 more coming to complete the FF7 story. FF7 Rebirth is the next in the series and is out now. If you want these kind of high quality remakes of our old classics please support these games.
